Ask Parazar where her alias comes from, and she will enthusiastically tell you that it’s her genesis: initially interested in comedy, she found herself in a studio to record a song to support this project, felt at home, and decided to change course—by chance, demonstrating her propensity for making spontaneous decisions. A versatile MC, capable of rapping in the verses as well as singing in the choruses, the Montreal rapper with Algerian roots has been working since the epiphany to develop tracks combining hip-hop, house, and raï, supported by her collaborator Fifo. Making her mark in early 2021 with her first EP, “C’est live,” she was also featured the following year on the third season of the #RAPELLES compilation. Since then, things have been moving fast: signing with Bravo Musique, being nominated among the Révélations Radio-Canada 2023, reaching the semi-finals of the 27th Francouvertes… and she will be opening for the Californian hip-hop trio Cypress Hill at the FEQ in July 2023! All this, ahead of the release of her second EP, “Elle était une fois,” which was released on November 17, 2023, under the Bravo Musique label.
