Blesse

Coming from Léo Leblanc, Charles-Antoine Olivier (aka CAO), Xavier Touikan (all three former members of Zen Bamboo), and Thomas Léger, Blesse is a chemical reaction, an emancipated liberation, a creative impulse seeking the new through the syncretic. The trio shapes an idiosyncratic, plural, abrasive, and above all, catchy pop, drawing inspiration from Porches, My Bloody Valentine, and Indochine, as well as the hyperpop and bedroom pop movements. In a relationship of total trust where missteps (almost) don’t exist and evolution moves forward, the group becomes the group it wants to be with each piece, with main vocals alternating and everything renewing itself. It starts, rarely returning to the starting point—a starting point that aims to retain the initial energy for a long time to continually discover, without a declared endpoint. The only constraint is to not be constantly maximalist—that’s the difficult part.
